Comparison
A Mailsuite (formerly Mailtrack) Alternative for Gmail
Mailsuite, formerly Mailtrack, is the most installed email tracker for Gmail. If you landed here, something is probably bothering you: the price of the paid plans, the free plan's limited history, or the compliance question. Here is a factual comparison, and what we do differently.
I build MyEmailTracker, so I won't pretend to be neutral. What I can do is compare verifiable facts: both tools' public prices, what each plan includes, and the design choices that set us apart. Where Mailsuite is the better fit for your needs, that is written down too.
What Mailsuite does well
Let's be honest: Mailsuite is a mature product, with years of history under the Mailtrack name and millions of installs. Beyond open tracking, its most expensive tier covers mass emailing (up to 60,000 emails per month), PDF document tracking, electronic signature requests and video messages. If that is your core need, Mailsuite plays in a category we do not cover today.
Where it falls short
According to Mailsuite's pricing page as of October 2026, the free plan only keeps the first open of each email. A 7-day history requires the Mailtrack plan at €6.99 per user per month. Full history requires the Mailsuite plan at €19.99 per user per month. And like most trackers on the market, every reported open is presented as an open, whether it came from a human, an image proxy, or an antivirus bot scanning your email before the recipient even sees it.

What we do differently
Accuracy over volume. An image proxy or a security scanner loading your pixel is not a read. Every open is classified (human, proxy, bot) with a confidence score, and you can filter your activity down to human opens only. An open rate inflated by bots is worse than useless: it makes you follow up with the wrong people.
Compliance built in, not promised. Consent-first mode for European recipients, a public one-click opt-out page, and automatic purge of raw data (IP, device) after twelve months. If you write to prospects in Europe, that is the difference between a tool your client can audit and a tool you have to hide. We go into detail in our GDPR guide to email tracking.
Pricing you can read. Full history and realtime are free. The Pro plan at €4/month (€36/year) adds smart follow-ups, best-send-time analytics, the morning priority list and badge removal. No middle tier that unlocks seven days of history.
When Mailsuite is still the right choice
If you send mass campaigns from Gmail, or need PDF document certification or electronic signatures, Mailsuite covers those cases and we do not. Our ground is accurate, compliant tracking of the individual emails you send every day: outreach, follow-ups, applications, client updates.
